chancel; Officium
Priest lays down the Missal and greets the
altar with a kiss
Priest signs his forehead: "in nomine Patris
et Filii et..." etc.
Priest blesses incense: "Ab ipso benedicatur
in cujus honore..."
Priest censes the altar
Altar is censed on all four sides...

Officium)
Priest censes east, east of the altar
Priest censes the Holy Relics of the Saints in the Ark

censes chancel, north to south, then Clergy
Thurifer
takes the censer, kisses Priest's hand

Subdeacon sings the Epistle eastward
Priest sits as the Subdeacon chants the Epistle.
