Before the arrival of the holy table,

stands.

The iconostasis
originated as two simple structures for holding each of the large icons
of the Mother of God and Our Lord, in house services.

Later,
these
structures made of 2 x 4 pine were stained and a connecting panel
added, with scrollwork which dignifies the screen. |

The Akathist was sung beautifully in the presence of
about 40 people, including some guests from the Antiochian and Greek
churches. Vladika gave an edifying talk on the history of the Icon
and its miracles.
