Icon of Holy Hierach Albinus
of Angers
feast day: March 1
Born at Vannes, Brittany, and
also known as Aubin, this Saint entered the monastery of Tincillac as a
youth. He was elected abbot when he was 35, and was known for his
generosity to the needy. He helped widows and orphans. He
ransomed many slaves as well, and shined with miracles both during his
lifetime and particularly after his repose in the Lord.
