St. Amatus (Ame or Aime), bishop of Sion (Sens) in the Valais (Valis)
Feast: Sept. 13
After
living as a hermit at Agaunum in Switzerland, St. Amatus became Bishop
of Sion in the Valais. He was one of the Saints who was falsely
accused, and went into exile, first to Peronne, then to Breuil, where
he reposed in Christ Who also had "not where to lay His head." Holy
Father Amatus, pray to God for us!
