Educated at Hereford and Bangor, St. Beuno was ordained at Bangor. He founded, and was abbot of, Clynnog Fawr in Wales. He was the uncle, spiritual father, and teacher of St. Winifred the martyr; it is he who with prayer reattached St. Winifred's head and resurrected her to life. People still bring their sick children to St. Beuno's tomb for healing.
