Florentius II, Bishop of Strasbourg.

An Irish Priest, St. Florentius went to Alsace and became a hermit at
the foot of Mt. Ringelburg, in the wilds of Haselac. He cured the blind
and mute daughter of king Dagobert, who in gratitude helped him found a
monastery at nearby Haslach. He was made Bishop of Strasbourg about
678, brought Irish monks into his see, and built a house for them,
which developed into the Monastery of St. Thomas.
