Iconic drawing of St. Oda,
widow of Amay
Feast: Oct. 23
St. Oda
was a French princess, married to the duke of Aquitaine. When he died,
she devoted her life to the care of the sick and the poor. She is often
shown in art as a duchess giving alms. Her shrine is at Amay, near
Liége. Holy Mother Oda, pray to God for us!
Icon drawing: apparently by
the hand of Fr. Protodeacon Pol (Hommes), Russian Patriarchal monastery
of Our Lady in Diksmuide, Belgium.
