Icons of St. Servaas or
Servatus, Bishop of Tongres
Feast: May 13
St.
Servatus was Bishop of Tongres in the Low Countries. He welcomed St.
Athanasius to his diocese when Athanasius was banished for his
Orthodoxy. St. Servatus worked to remove the heretical bishop of
Cologne in 346. He was active at the council of Rimini in 359 and he
prophesied the invasion of the Huns, which would not occur until the
mid-5th c. Holy Father Servatus, pray to God for us!

Servatus upon the right, having a pallium with large black crosses on
it.
