The above image is a thumbnail. Click it to see greater detail.

Icons of St. Tugdual, Bishop of Tréguier in Brittany.

Feast: Dec. 1

Trained in Holy Scripture in Ireland, St. Tugdual (Tudwal) went later to Brittany, where he was known as one of the seven Founder Saints of Brittany. He was consecrated bishop at the request of King Childebert of the Franks. He founded a large monastery in Domnonia. Holy Father Tudwal, pray to God for us!

Top Icon: by the hand of Aidan Hart, Oecumenical Patriarchate, UK.

Next Icon: apparently from the Atelier St. John Damascene, in France. It is shown at la-france-orthodoxe.net.

A note on the icon graphics we host on this site, including the above icon:
St. John Cassian Press does not "carry," i.e., reproduce, sell, or stock these icons. Those who wish to acquire icons should contact the icon's producer / distributor, if shown; otherwise, an icon maker or distributor should be contacted (a cursory list appears on the main Icons page).
