Icon of Our Holy Mother Tydfil the Martyr

Feast: Aug. 23

St. Tydfil was one of the daughters of St. Brychan of Brecknock. She was martyred by the pagan Saxons. She reposed in the year 480 and was buried at Merthyr Tydfil in Wales (merthyr=martyr).
